was interesting in that I learned that using FTP software seems more secure than working from a web browser. Also i was not aware that information or data was handled via two formats. Not sure as to when we are not accessing FTP without going through a Browser. Is it suggesting that we should all procure separate FTP software if we visit a lot of sites to pull down free software? Related I was not able to easily follow the six steps instructions on moving files back and forth starting with the Root folder- but perhaps this is fairly automated and therefore not essential? Local Root f:? Is this the Root at school? Is it really f:? Different on my Flash Drive? Different on my Laptop holding my DreamWeaver software on an Apple notebook – it starts to get confusing…As I start up DreamWeaver – on my Apple for the first time – should I be using F: as the Root or is this only related to when we are working in the Lab? Help. Unrelated but as part of our ongoing Assignments…when we are instructed to post requested updates on our Blogs – are we referring to this Blog that I am currently posting or the one set up in WordPress.com My blog there is TheImageMakers.wordpress.com George Sherry

2005_0504_cropopenshirtMy name is George Sherry, and I am a photographer/graphic artist, businessman, and an advocate and FAN of great Visual Communications.

This blog exists to express and share views which may stimulate debate and discussion on topics of universal interest in all things visual and graphic in nature.  Today we are bombarded with visual images at a time like no other in history.  Many are working hard to grab our attention, influence us, inform or educate us, or just entertain us.  And some simply seek to inspire us.  And new technologies continue to evolve that extend the reach of image makers whether it be electronic or traditional print based.

How are image makers influencing us and you today?
